Who are we?

The Warmia – Mazury Center for Vocational Development (W-M ZDZ) is an independent, non-profit educational institution that has been supporting the professional and personal growth of the region’s residents since 1992.

For more than three decades, we have been building an environment where modern vocational education meets hands-on experience and where theoretical knowledge seamlessly transforms into practical, in – demand skills.

Our network includes 11 Education Centers, the Industry Training Center, the Driver Training Center, and the Olsztyn Film House – all equipped with advanced laboratories, professional workshop facilities, and a modern technical infrastructure.

Our mission is to make high – quality, practical education accessible to everyone – young people entering the job market, adults looking to upskill, and professionals seeking new career paths.

While our work is rooted locally, our approach is forward – looking. We actively participate in EU – funded initiatives, develop long – term partnerships with local governments and enterprises, and continuously tailor our programs to the needs of industries driving the regional economy.

Practice-based education

We have created an extensive network of Education Centers in 12 cities in the region and specialized central units located in Olsztyn, such as:

  • Industry Training Center
  • Driver Training Center
  • Olsztyn Film House

All these units constitute the heart of our practical and specialist activities.

Thanks to modern laboratories and technical facilities, we offer practical courses tailored to the real needs of the labor market, including:

  • operation of excavators, loaders, forklifts trucks
  • welding training
  • driving licenses: AM, A1, B, B+E, C, C+E, C1, C1+E
  • energy qualifications
  • photography and film workshops
  • HR and payroll courses
  • health and safety training

Olsztyn Film House

The Olsztyn Film House is one of our flagship initiatives – a modern creative hub where education meets art and where talent is nurtured across film, photography, visual arts, and multimedia production.

Designed as an open, collaborative space, it brings together young creators, professionals, and enthusiasts who want to develop their craft in an environment that mirrors real creative-industry standards.

The facility features a professional cyclorama specialized workstations that enable both learning and professional-grade production.

The Film House also serves as a meeting place – encouraging intergenerational collaboration, creative exchange, and the development of future-proof skills that respond to the dynamic world of digital media and creative industries.

Schools that teach professions

W-M ZDZ operates more than 30 schools for young people and adults, including first- and second-level vocational schools, technical secondary schools, and post-secondary programs.

Our educational model prioritizes real – world experience. Modern training workshops – ensure that students graduate with practical, job-ready competencies rather than purely theoretical knowledge.

To date, we have trained over 308,000 learners and supported more than 43,000 graduates in entering key sectors of the regional economy.

Our schools work closely with employers, offering practical placements, apprenticeships, and learning opportunities on actual industry equipment. This approach enables our graduates to enter the job market with confidence and strong professional foundations.

The success of W-M ZDZ is driven by a team of more than 200 full – time staff members and nearly 1,000 cooperating specialists – teachers, instructors, industry practitioners, career advisors, and examiners.

Our experts combine years of professional experience with strong pedagogical skills, ensuring that every program we deliver is relevant, practical, and aligned with industry expectations.

Our commitment to quality is confirmed by numerous certifications, including ISO 9001:2015, and accreditations awarded by institutions such as:
