To take a category B driving course, you must meet the following statutory requirements:

• be at least 17 years and 9 months old,
• obtain an appropriate medical certificate of lack of health contraindications (a doctor authorized to examine drivers),
• obtain a PKK profile from the communications department with jurisdiction over the place of residence or registration,
• reside in the territory of the Republic of Poland for at least 185 days in each calendar year due to personal or professional ties, or present a certificate of study for at least 6 months.

• 26 hours of theoretical classes – introducing the general regulations arising from the traffic code, with particular emphasis on issues related to driving in Poland and the European Union,
• 4 hours of theoretical classes and exercises in providing first aid to victims of road accidents,
• 30 hours of practical classes – both on the maneuvering area and on the road – aimed at improving driving skills in a pragmatic way and solid preparation for the exam,

• the practical part – consisting of tasks on the maneuvering area, as well as driving around the city. If a foreigner does not understand the Polish language, he or she is obliged to ensure that a sworn interpreter attends the practical exam.
